Background

As the world faces increasingly complex issues and needs related to medical and health care, disease transmission and prevention, the development of new medication, and long-term care management, quite a few growing trends are emerging and replacing traditional frameworks of studies within individual disciplines with cross-fields collaboration. As a result, the scope of development and management for international medical industries is becoming greater and more multi-faceted. College of Management, National Taiwan University, together with its academic platform, NTU Management Review, places a high value on combining research on management with fields related to medical sciences. Together with Infection Control Society of Taiwan, Taiwan College of Healthcare Executives, Taiwan Society of Emergency Medicine, Taiwan Society of Internal Medicine, and Taiwan Surgical Association, we will host an international seminar on "Management and Medical Sciences Interdisciplinary Conference", from October 30th to November 1st, 2020. Medicine, health, and management field experts and scholars, both domestic and abroad, are invited to participate in discussions and thesis publications focused on, but not limited to, the topics listed below. Through conducting research together, the conference aims to provide medical, health, management, and other scholars and experts the opportunity to exchange and share ideas and brainstorm, accordingly enhancing the research quality and contributing to medical and public health as well as management disciplines in Taiwan.
